How to Play
What if arm wrestling had teams, a scoreboard, and the strategy of the NBA or NFL — with the intensity of the UFC? That is TAWF.
How a Game Works
Teams of 8 athletes compete across 4 weight classes — Light (under 175 lbs), Middle (under 205 lbs), Heavy (under 245 lbs), and Super (over 246 lbs). Each game runs 32 total matches, covering both left and right arms across 4 rounds.
Each match is a single pull on the MAC Table — a ruleset founded by veteran promoter Ian Carnegie that gives athletes more space to fight, faster match starts, and more decisive wins.
The Manager controls the strategy: who pulls in which matchup, when to substitute, and when to gamble. Every decision affects the score.

The Points & Scoring System
Base Scoring
Bonus Points
Winning the Game
Teams accumulate points with every win. A team wins early by reaching 100 points — otherwise the team with the highest score after all 32 matches wins. That race to 100 acts like a Knockout in this team format.
The Scoreboard
The scoreboard is the heart of every TAWF game. It tracks each team's running score, every match result and bonus point, and the race to 100 — so fans can follow the momentum swing by swing, in the arena or from home.
Each match feeds the board in real time: the base win, any Flash Pin, Shutout, Captain, Pull-Up, or Gamble bonus, and any foul adjustments. The moment a team hits 100 points, the board calls the game. Without a live scoreboard, the team format would not be possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a TAWF game work?+
Two teams compete across four weight classes — Light, Middle, Heavy, and Super. Each game is 32 matches, covering both the left and right arm over four rounds, and the team Manager decides who pulls in each matchup.
How do you win a TAWF game?+
Teams score on every win, worth a base of 5 points. A team can win early by reaching 100 points; otherwise the team with the most points after all 32 matches wins.
What is a Flash Pin?+
A Flash Pin earns +1 bonus point and is awarded for pinning your opponent within 0.5 seconds of the "Go" command.
What is a Shutout?+
A Shutout earns +5 bonus points for winning every match in a single weight class and arm division.
What is a Gamble?+
A Gamble doubles the point total for that match; if both teams gamble the same match, the points triple. Each team gets two gambles per game.
How do fouls affect the score?+
Fouls offset points: the winner loses 1 point for each foul they commit, and the loser’s fouls give the winner 1 extra point each.
Can I use the TAWF scoreboard for my own matches?+
Yes. The free TAWF Scoreboard App lets you set up two teams, score a game live, and share a read-only link with spectators — ideal for club nights, practice, and TAWF-style scrimmages. Spectators do not need an account.
